If you find yourself on the beautiful island of Okinawa, nestled in the serene surroundings of Maeda, the charming Maeda Soba café is a hidden gem you won't want to miss. This inviting spot is an ideal choice for both locals and travelers alike, especially after a day filled with diving or snorkeling adventures at the nearby blue cave.

Maeda Soba specializes in traditional Okinawan cuisine, placing its spotlight on the delightful soba noodles. Diners rave about the soothing variety of soba, with bowls priced around ¥700 that promise a satisfying meal. Guests have reported that the noodles are not only delicious but served in a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that complements the natural beauty surrounding the café. Sitting at an outdoor table while savoring a bowl of fresh, handmade noodles and sipping on a cold beer sums up a perfect day in paradise. As one satisfied customer noted, "the noodles served were nice, sat outside at the table with a beer and enjoyed the peace and quiet."

Besides the classic soba, Maeda Soba also features delightful menu items such as Taco Rice, a unique Okinawan twist on the traditional taco. A first-time diner describes it as "not bad," though they preferred traditional tacos, indicating that the dish is worth a try for adventurous eaters. Another interesting offering is the blue soup, inspired by the stunning blue caves of Cape Maeda—an aesthetic nod to the surroundings that not only tastes good but looks captivating as well.

Don't miss out on their シーサーのしっぽ (Shisa no Shippo), priced at ¥1,800, which adds a localized touch, making it a perfect souvenir to take home. This café perfectly combines convenience and quality, and as one customer shared, it's “a convenient place to have meals and drinks after joint diving or snorkeling,” showcasing its strategic location for aquatic adventurers.

With its delightful menu and tranquil atmosphere, Maeda Soba ensures that every visit leaves you with a memorable experience. Whether you're looking to recharge after a day at sea, or simply wish to savor some local flavors in serenity, this café promises to be a highlight of your Okinawa journey.

ダイビングに来た際に近くで飲食店があまり見当たらなかったのでここで済ませようというぐらいの気持ちで注文しましたがとても美味しかったです。 知人はソーキそばを食べていましたがそちらも美味しいと言っていました。

We arrived earlier than our scheduled snorkelling appointment so we had lunch here. Portion size are good. My first time eating Taco Rice. The rice dish was not bad but I still prefer tacos in shell or pita. The blue soup for the soba looks interesting, to reflect the blue cave, a tourist attraction in Cape Maeda, I believe. This noodle shop was the only one that was open on the day we visited.
